The 100 Women Project is a writing project in which women describe moments from their lives to K.P. Dawson, and she writes flash fiction based upon those moments that is exactly 100 words long. The aim is to collect the essence of 100 different real experiences from 100 different real women in one place.

The most recent addition to the 100 Women project will always be available for free on this site, but will be taken down once the next story becomes available. Once all 100 stories have been collected, they will be published together in a single volume entitled 100 Women in 100 Words.

Are you a woman? Would you like to participate? Here’s how!

There are no special qualifications to participate in the 100 Women Project, except that you be a woman! Young or old, black or white or alien, gay, straight, asexual, transexual – if you identify as a woman, send K.P. your story! It can be a happy moment, a sad one, a long story or short story. Just send it to K.P., and she’ll use it in the project. Be sure to read the Submission Guidelines and Fine Print before submitting.

No identifying information will be used in any of the resulting flash fiction.
